Situation Map midnight 12 April

All the above orders have been successfully executed. The Piedmontese have successfully consolidated at Millesimo with a total of 17 full strength and 4 understrength battalions. Bonaparte located is immediately to their east with 24 battalions.

Of the objectives Dego, Voltri and Monte Legino have been secured by the French. The Allies remain in control of Millesimo and Sassello. Both the French and the Allies hold their Line of Communications objectives.

Bonaparte has to decide whether to risk battle with the Piedmontese or to switch his focus and press on to Acqui.

The Allies have to decide whether to attack the French east of Millesimo or to hold. They also face the risk of Bonaparte screening the Piedmontese and attacking up the Bormida valley to Acqui.

The seizure of the central position has restricted the Allies' choices. Reinforcements are due to arrive in Acqui on 13 & 14 April but these only total 6 infantry battalions and a couple of squadrons of cavalry.
